Staying hydrated – Communities in a changing climate

Show notes

About this episode: In this episode, the focus is on water. The climate crisis exacerbates both floods and water scarcity, such as in the form of droughts. As this episode focuses on the situation in Jordan, water scarcity is at ist centre. Our guest emphasizes the technical challenges and opportunities to address the problem. However, it is also emphasized that a purely technical approach to the problem falls short, as awareness and, above all, distribution issues must also be considered. The relevance of the water issue is also highlighted, as it is ultimately a question of dignity and thus also a question of human rights. The episode also examines the role of young people and explores how they can bring their expertise to the table to fight for a just future for all.
